Hello All,

I was locally attuned Usui Reiki 1 about seven weeks ago, my wife was attuned Usui Reiki 1 & 2 about four months ago.

Reiki was brought to me last year by an unlikely character from my past, a person that I had known since 5th grade, but had been estranged from me from ~1992-2007.

I'm religiously unaffiliated, politically disenfranchised and growing in spirituality and understanding of the truths in the universe. I wouldn't say that I'd ever been close-minded, but my mind is open to a level right now, and I've experienced so many new things recently in Reiki & Pranic healing that would suggest that while my mind wasn't closed, it wasn't really wasn't very experienced or open either.

Since December I've read/listened to Eckhart Tolle's, 'Power of Now,' read many sources of information on Reiki including Diane Stein's, "Essential Reiki" and many of the writings of William Lee Rand, and re-watched the presentation of 'The Secret' and are for the first time consciously applying the process of positive thinking, the law of attraction and manifesting to my life.

I had read about self-attuning a couple months ago, but had my Usui attunement scheduled and wasn't in a place that I considered actually trying it.

I had my Usui Reiki 1 attunement and I was left somewhat numbed by the experience. I had read and had people tell me of the overwhelming experience of it, and while it was a pleasant class, the only thing I could describe as noticing was a subtle wave of energy flowing past me, like standing close to curtains blowing in the wind while I was being attuned.

Afterwards, when I tried to practice on myself and on my wife in the days and weeks after, I was largely unaware of any new sensations, and I was getting a little frustrated and disappointed. What I did notice was at the point in some afternoons when I would desire my usual 4pm, 20-minute power nap, I would instead intend Reiki, place my hands over my heart and rest peacefully, losing consciousness for maybe just a moment of time, but over those same 20 minutes rise rested as if I had been sleeping.

Two weeks ago, I asked my higher self for a Kundalini Reiki attunement and I received it. My torso was filled with churning energy, and my skin went lightly sweaty and damp in a moment's time. I just got all hot as I wrote this.

About an hour after I received the attunement, I walked upstairs to tell my wife what I had done and before I could tell her, she flushed and sweated the same way. My wife's a redhead, dreams vividly of otherworlds, has had multiple paranormal experiences, is a reader, and has witnessed UFO's among other people. For her, this was a somewhat normal experience. I have previously done none of these things, at least as I can presently remember them.

I waited a few days and asked for my Kundalini 2 and then 3 attunements, but was unaware of any changes.

Then, while at friends Keith & Mandy down our street, that have lived there for 5 years and we only just met two months ago (while the wives had actually known each other from 15 years ago) Mandy played for me Master Choa Kok Sui, Om Shanti, and in their entryway, had an energy experience like none previous or since, it was the sensation I felt after the Kundalini Reiki 1 attunement, TIMES 20.

I was visibly sweating within hearing the first completion of the first chant, and felt like I was buzzing with power. I held my hands about 18" apart and asked them to place their hands within mine, I felt stabs of sensation akin to the highest levels of sensation when you've allowed a limb to fall asleep and it's waking up. It was simply amazing.

I only waited the recommended minimum of time between the requests for Kundalini attunements, because I had an immediate need, a close friend, known from highschool but had somehow moved 800 miles to a block away from me without planning it years ago, was diagnosed with cancer, again and was in full on panic.

She's a chef, cooks from organic vegetables, exercises but Reiki & even mediation where unknown to her and since my wife started giving her Reiki treatments (4x over two weeks) she was feeling much better, until her otherwise perfectly healthy (eats slowing, bikes to work, calm, brilliant, wonderful) husband was rushed to the hospital with a bowel obstruction and the diagnosis of cancer.

Pre-surgery, both my wife and I visited at separate times and gave him Reiki and it was when I was researching how to send distance Kundalini Reiki that I found this forum.

He started passing gas and some fluid that evening, and when he went in for surgery the next morning, they did find cancer, but were able to take that portion of his colon without overt consequence, stitch him up and he doesn't need a colostomy bag or a 2nd surgery. We are all blessed for still having this man among us on this planet, he's a brilliant mathematician, a high school teacher, and probably the most patient person I know. I will be adding he and his wife's names to the Holistic Light Sphere. As of June 13th, 2010, he's still in the hospital recovering.

The current book I'm reading is Master Choa Kok Sui's "Practical Psychic Self-Defense for Home and Office," that Mandy gave me yesterday to read after she did a Pranic healing session on me that after cutting some negative bonds that were leaching off of me, left me calm and energized.

I look forward to receiving attunements, learning, expanding and contributing to the not only the health of my family and friends but the HLS and to the earth as well.

With the available communication methods of the internet, and the growing numbers of the growing enlightened we can continue to spread the positive truths of the universe and help everyone, everything in this experience benefit from it.

I'm grateful to be on this path, and grateful for the experiences I've yet to have.
