I've been visiting this forum for quite a while before I regestered. There seems to be so much information here, and I enjoyed reading it. 
I'm so glad I found this place!!!
About me..... I've worked with developmentally disabled my whole life. I started out as a volunteer in high school. I'm 32 years old, and besides my main work, I've also went to school for medical assistant, and currently working on my associates for veternary technican.
I have been studying and learning about healin/alt. medicine/reiki for 6 years now. Everytime I learn something, something new comes along.... and it's so far been an endless journey. What has triggered my interest in Reiki attunements is my experiences in Tai Chi. In the beginning I was lost and awkward... but after 2 years I began to feel very strong sensations during the moves. I mentioned to a teacher that my hands would tingle, and get hot.. and sometimes my whole body would feel that way. I also felt like I was totally sedated after the sessions. I looked into classes ... but they are either sooo far away, or there was no way I could pay for them. It's just impossible for me to travel from south jersey, all the way upstate New York, and then cough up 300 more dollars.
I have helped people my whole life, and can't see myself doing anything else. I think it's finally time I offered more to the people I help.
